TD ABUJA, FCT — The Village Boys Movement (VBM) has announced a fresh round of appointments to its international leadership structure as the organisation intensifies grassroots mobilisation and diaspora engagement ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 elections.
The appointments, approved under the leadership of Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, National Village Headmaster, are designed to strengthen the Movement’s organisational structures in Nigeria and among Nigerians living abroad.
The newly appointed officials are:
- Jonathan Ainabe — Country Headmaster, United Kingdom
- Kingley Chigbo — Headmaster, West Coast Region, United States, covering California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, including Denver, and Washington State
- Nnamdi Uwakwe — Headmaster, East Coast Region, United States, covering Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida
- Izuchukwu Oguegbu — VBM Canada
- Chukwuma Ezeh — Country Headmaster, Germany
- Ikenna Onuoha — Country Headmaster, Australia, and,
- Victor Olaore — Town Crier, New Media, United States
According to the Movement, the appointments form part of a deliberate strategy to create a coordinated and inclusive grassroots network capable of engaging Nigerians across communities in the country and throughout the diaspora.
The Country and Regional Headmasters are expected to coordinate VBM activities within their respective jurisdictions, facilitate community engagement, strengthen local structures and encourage increased participation in Nigeria’s political and civic processes.
The Movement also said its diaspora leadership would have a strategic role in mobilising human and material resources to support initiatives and communities in Nigeria.
The National Leadership congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to regard their positions as a call to service and responsibility rather than positions of privilege.
Ezeoke reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to building what it described as a people-driven movement that gives ordinary Nigerians at home and abroad a stronger voice and a meaningful role in shaping the country’s future.
The latest appointments expand VBM’s international network across Europe, North America and Australia, further positioning the organisation for grassroots mobilisation and diaspora engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Movement subsequently called on Nigerians at home and abroad to join its growing network and contribute their time, skills, resources and ideas toward what it described as the effort to build a better Nigeria.
The organisation concluded with its rallying declarations: “Together We Liberate Nigeria. A New Nigeria Is Possible. UNBOUGHT. UNAFRAID. UNSTOPPABLE.”
