TDThe Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has released its official timetable for the sale of forms, screening, and primary elections ahead of the 2027 general polls .
According to the statement issued on May 12, 2026, the sale of Expression of Interest forms will run from May 13 to May 18, followed by the screening of aspirants between May 19 and May 21. The Nomination Forms will be available from May 21 to May 23, with submission closing on May 25.
Appeals from the screening process are scheduled for May 25–26, while primary elections for various offices will take place on May 27–28. The Presidential Primary Election is set for May 29, 2026, in Abuja.
The NDC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and inclusivity, noting that female aspirants and persons with disabilities will pay 50% and 25% of the nomination fees respectively.
Party supporters on social media have reacted with mixed views — some praising the inclusiveness, others debating the gender-based fee structure.
