Anyamene arrived with his campaign directors and supporters to the event held over the weekend.
He was welcomed by Chief Maurice Ebo, popularly known as Chinyelugo Ogidi, a prominent political figure in the area.

Ebo reportedly led a large crowd to receive the candidate and his entourage to then event.

Speaking during the engagement, Ebo said he had begun mobilising residents of Ogidi to join the NDC.
He cited what he described as the decline of other political parties in the area.
He said the move was aimed at providing a new political platform for the people.
Anyamene expressed satisfaction with the reception, particularly the participation of people previously associated with the Labour Party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties.
The candidate used the visit to interact with supporters and inspect some polling units in Ogidi.

This, he said, will ensure they could exercise their voting rights without hindrance during the election scheduled for January 16, 2027.
The engagement forms part of Anyamene’s efforts to build support across Idemili Federal Constituency ahead of the forthcoming polls.
