TDA disturbing new video has emerged showing Mrs. Alamu, the principal of Community Grammar School, Esinele, Oyo State, pleading for urgent intervention as she and several abducted students and teachers remain in captivity.
The victims, kidnapped on May 15, 2026, have reportedly been held under harsh conditions for two weeks, exposed to both sun and rain without shelter.
Heartbreaking Plea from Captivity
In the video, Mrs. Alamu appeals directly to President Bola Tinubu, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
She urged them to act swiftly to secure their release.
“Both we the school teachers and children are under the sun and rain for the past few weeks,” she lamented.
She added that the kidnappers have grown increasingly impatient.
According to her, the terrorists have threatened to kill one of the captives after government forces attempted a rescue operation.
Worsening Security Situation
The abduction at Community Grammar School Esinele was not an isolated incident.
On the same day, the armed group also attacked The Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Yawota, abducting more teachers and students.
The coordinated assaults highlight the worsening insecurity in Oyo State and the broader southwest region.
Schools have become frequent targets of kidnappers in the region.
Public Outrage and Government Silence
The video has sparked outrage among Nigerians, many of whom are dismayed that citizens must beg for help while the government focuses on threats of arrest over cybercrime.
Critics argue that the administration’s priorities appear misplaced, as families and communities grapple with the trauma of mass abductions.
Human rights advocates warn that the prolonged captivity of children and educators under such dire conditions represents a grave violation of fundamental rights.
Civil society groups have called on both federal and state authorities to intensify rescue efforts and ensure the safety of schools across the country.
Call for Action
Mrs. Alamu’s emotional appeal underscores the urgency of Nigeria’s security crisis.
With the captives enduring harsh weather and facing threats of execution, pressure is mounting on the government to act decisively.
As the situation drags into its third week, Nigerians are demanding accountability and immediate intervention to prevent further tragedy.
