The NNPC Foundation, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of NNPC Ltd., has commissioned and handed over a fully installed 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) System to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi.
The intervention, unveiled at the hospital’s permanent site, marks a significant boost to healthcare infrastructure in the South-East.
It will provide advanced diagnostic imaging services to millions across Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, and Delta States.
Details of the Intervention
- Equipment: 1.5 Tesla MRI Machine.
- Supporting Infrastructure: RF shielding systems, chillers, backup UPS, electrical installations, imaging accessories, ventilation, CCTV, oxygen monitoring, intercom facilities, and patient comfort technologies.
- Impact: Reduced waiting times, lower costs, and elimination of long-distance travel for advanced diagnostic services.
