TDThe Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has issued a series of explosive claims and operational updates, alleging that the Hezbollah is using medical infrastructure, including ambulances, as cover for militant activities.
According to the updates, fresh cross-border hostilities has intensified along the Israel–Lebanon frontier.
In a statement released Friday, the IDF accused Hezbollah of exploiting ambulances and medical teams to transport weapons and operatives.
The allegation, if verified, could constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
1. Ambulances “Weaponised” — IDF Claims
According to the Israeli military, troops operating in southern Lebanon discovered an ambulance allegedly used to conceal weapons.
A video footage showed items reportedly recovered to include:
- Explosive devices
- Mortar shells
- Ammunition magazines
- A grenade
The IDF said such actions undermine the protected status of medical services in conflict zones.
Airstrikes Follow Rocket Fire
The escalation follows reported rocket launches from Lebanon into northern Israel, particularly targeting the border community of Shtula.
In response, the IDF confirmed it carried out targeted strikes on Hezbollah-linked military structures in southern Lebanese including:
- Kherbet Selem, and,
- Touline
The Israeli military said the strikes were aimed at degrading Hezbollah’s operational capabilities following the attacks.

Overnight Clashes and Interceptions
Providing an operational recap, the IDF reported that:
- Air raid sirens were triggered in Shtula after rockets were launched from Lebanon
- Israeli air defenses successfully intercepted incoming rockets
- The launcher used in the attack, along with another “ready-to-launch” system, was destroyed
The IDF also claimed that three Hezbollah operatives were killed after attempting to fire a surface-to-air missile at an Israeli Air Force aircraft.
UAV and Rocket Attacks on Ground Troops
In what the military described as separate incidents, Hezbollah fighters allegedly launched:
- Rockets
- An explosive unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)
targeting Israeli soldiers operating south of the Forward Defense Line in southern Lebanon.
The IDF characterized these actions as “blatant violations of ceasefire understandings.”
In close-range encounters in Aainata, the Israeli military further reported that two armed individuals identified as Hezbollah fighters were shot and killed.
They were killed after approaching Israeli troops and posing what was described as an immediate threat.
Underground Command Center Discovered
In a separate development, the IDF announced the discovery of a 25-meter-deep underground command center allegedly operated by Hezbollah beneath a civilian structure in Al-Khiyam.
According to the military, the facility—located beneath a clothing store—contained:
- Weapons stockpiles
- Operational rooms used for planning and coordinating attacks
Rising Tensions Along the Northern Front
The latest developments highlight a sharp escalation in hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.
They raise fresh concerns about the stability of the already fragile ceasefire framework along the northern border.
The IDF maintains that its actions are defensive and targeted.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah has historically rejected similar accusations, often framing Israeli strikes as aggression against Lebanese territory.
Independent verification of the latest claims remains limited, and the situation continues to evolve rapidly amid heightened regional tensions.
