TDIn a strong demonstration of inter-party collaboration among progressive political forces and a renewed commitment to national unity, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on Saturday joined a large-scale endorsement rally in Ebonyi State, where he publicly expressed support for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking before a massive gathering of supporters in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, Governor Soludo described his presence at the event as a “solidarity visit”.
He highlighted the increasing cooperation among progressive-minded leaders and political stakeholders across the country.
Standing alongside his host, the Governor of Ebonyi State, whom he warmly referred to as “my own brother,” Soludo reaffirmed his belief in collaborative governance and strategic partnerships as essential drivers of national development.
“I am here on a solidarity march with my own brother, the Rt. Hon. Governor of Ebonyi State, who, by the grace of God, remains governor until 2031,” he said, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
Representing the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Governor Soludo stressed the importance of transcending conventional political boundaries in pursuit of national progress and sustainable development.
“I am here in solidarity with you because today, you are endorsing the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I have come in solidarity because progressives are working together.
“The time has come for progressive forces across the country to unite.,” he declared.
Reflecting on the nation’s current economic and social realities, the governor acknowledged the challenges confronting Nigerians but expressed confidence in the efforts being undertaken by the present administration to address them.
He disclosed that APGA would, in due course, convene to formally articulate its position, with a view to strengthening a broad-based progressive coalition aimed at sustaining and consolidating the reforms and institutional foundations being established under President Tinubu’s leadership.
In a passionate message directed at Ndi Igbo, Governor Soludo urged the region to embrace a new political orientation anchored on constructive engagement and strategic partnership rather than perpetual grievance and protest politics.
“I say to ụmụnne m ndị Igbo, enough of the politics of lamentation.
“The time has come for us to move from an alliance of protest to an alliance for progress—an alliance built on partnership, development, and shared prosperity for Ndi Igbo.
“We must come together as one people, and we must not continue to waste our votes
The governor’s remarks drew widespread applause and resonated strongly with attendees, underscoring what many observers described as a significant moment in the evolving political landscape of the Southeast.
His message reflected a growing discourse around national integration, regional relevance, and strategic political realignment.
