TD The Village Boys Movement (VBM) has called on its members and all eligible Nigerians to take full advantage of the extended voter registration period announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
VBM urged citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ahead of future elections.
In a statement signed by the movement’s Founder and Headmaster, Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, the group welcomed INEC’s decision to extend the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise until Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Ezeoke described the move as an important opportunity for eligible Nigerians to participate in shaping the country’s future.
The movement directed all its State Headmasters, Local Government Coordinators, Ward Leaders, Diaspora Support Groups and members nationwide to intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts throughout the extension period.
VBM urged eligible Nigerians who are yet to register to do so without delay, while encouraging members to mobilise family members, friends, neighbours, colleagues and community members to participate in the exercise.
The organisation also called on its members to assist first-time voters in understanding and using INEC’s newly introduced online self-service voter registration platform, scheduled to become available from July 8, 2026, while continuing peaceful voter education and awareness campaigns across communities.
According to the statement, the movement believes that meaningful national transformation begins with active civic participation.
It stressed that the Permanent Voter’s Card is more than an identification document but a constitutional tool through which Nigerians determine the direction of the country.
VBM further commended INEC for extending the voter registration exercise and introducing technological innovations aimed at making the registration process more accessible and inclusive.
The group concluded by urging all Nigerians to take advantage of the extension, saying no eligible voter should be left behind.
“Register. Mobilise. Participate. Nigeria’s future begins with your PVC,” the statement read.
