TDThe African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reacted to reports that a Federal High Court judgment has sacked its elected, but yet-to-be inaugurated, State Chairmen.
ADC insisted the party remains ahead in managing its internal processes.
In a press statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said its attention was drawn to media reports concerning the ruling delivered by Justice Joyce O. Abdulmalik.
According to the statement, the ADC clarified that it had earlier addressed the status of its state congresses.
It noted that the exercise did not terminate the tenure of the current State Executives.
The party maintained that the existing executives are expected to complete their tenure before any newly elected officials are formally inaugurated.
The party, however, acknowledged the court decision and disclosed that its leadership has directed its legal team to carefully review the judgment.
The outcome of the legal assessment, it said, will guide the party’s next line of action.
The ADC reaffirmed its confidence in its internal processes.
It emphasized that it remains proactive and committed to due process in handling party affairs.
The statement underscores the party’s position amid the unfolding legal development, signaling that further actions may be taken pending legal advice.
