TDThe Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has approved the appointment of Professor Victor Ifeanyi Obiora Ndirika as the new Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education.
The appointment was announced in a press release issued on April 27, 2026, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime.
It underscores the state government’s commitment to strengthening leadership in its tertiary education sector.
Professor Ndirika, an accomplished Agricultural Engineer and scholar, previously served as a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Over the years, he has built a strong reputation in academia as a lecturer, administrator, and researcher, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals.
According to the statement, his appointment is expected to usher in a new phase of academic and administrative excellence at the college.
The government expressed confidence that his expertise and leadership would significantly enhance the institution’s mandate of training highly skilled and modern teachers.
Nwafor Orizu College of Education plays a key role in teacher education within the state, and the new provost is expected to reposition the institution to meet evolving educational standards both within Nigeria and globally.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
