TD Abuja, Nigeria — A newly launched online registration portal associated with the Tinubu Must Go (TMG) movement has reportedly recorded more than 1.46 million requests within its first 24 hours, according to figures cited by an X user, Sulaiman Uwaisu Idris, promoting the campaign.
Uwaisu Idris claimed that more than 1.46 million Nigerians had requested ambassadorial numbers.
Meanwhile, 603,200 had successfully registered following the launch of the portal on October 1.
“BREAKING: Following the official launch of the Tinubu Must Go registration portal, over 1.46 million Nigerians have requested their ambassadorial numbers, while 603,200 have successfully registered in less than 24 hours,” Idris wrote.
He added: “The message is clear: Nigerians are mobilising for change.”
Portal confirms TMG ambassador registration
The TMG website currently provides an online Ambassador Programme registration platform.
Participants are asked to provide personal details, including their state, local government area, ward and polling unit there.
The registration form also asks applicants to indicate their volunteer category, occupation, voter-registration status and PVC status.
Applicants are required to accept an ambassador pledge committing them to peaceful and lawful political participation.
The portal identifies former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as TMG’s endorsed candidate.
It says ambassadors are expected to support his candidacy, mobilise at ward and polling-unit level and recruit other volunteers.
What the 1.46 million figure means
The reported TMG figures should, however, be interpreted carefully.
Cloudflare requests are not equivalent to individual people or completed registrations.
Cloudflare defines a request as traffic handled through its network, while a cached request is a request served from Cloudflare’s cache without contacting the origin server.
Cloudflare also notes that its analytics can differ from other analytics systems.
It also noted that request-based measurements should not automatically be interpreted as unique individuals.
Its analytics documentation distinguishes requests, visits and other traffic measurements.

Consequently, the 1.46 million figure cited by Idris cannot by itself establish that 1.46 million Nigerians visited the portal or that 603,200 unique Nigerians completed registration.
The figures would require confirmation from the TMG organisers or access to the portal’s underlying registration database before the number of actual completed registrations could be independently established.
TMG had earlier attracted about 110,000 poll participants
The latest registration claim follows an earlier online poll organised by the movement.
A 24-hour TMG presidential poll conducted between September 24 and 25 reportedly received 109,799 responses.
Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, received 80,809 votes, while the Peter Obi–Rabiu Kwankwaso ticket recorded 24,519 votes.
The poll was organised by the movement itself and therefore does not constitute a nationally representative opinion poll.
Reports have also noted that the methodology and participant selection by TMG limit the extent to which its results can be extrapolated to Nigeria’s overall electorate.
Campaign expands ahead of 2027 election
TMG has emerged as an opposition campaign focused on mobilising Nigerians against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
The movement has promoted opposition cooperation and has sought to mobilise supporters at grassroots level.
Its activities have increasingly attracted attention as political parties and opposition figures position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
The campaign’s current registration platform represents a shift from its earlier online poll toward a more structured volunteer and grassroots mobilisation system.
Whether the reported traffic translates into a comparable number of genuine, unique and active supporters remains to be established.
Bottom line
The TMG registration portal is active, and the movement has publicly promoted an ambassador-registration programme.
However, the specific claim that 603,200 Nigerians successfully registered and that 1.46 million Nigerians requested ambassadorial numbers currently comes from the X post cited above.
The available evidence does not independently verify that those figures represent unique Nigerian individuals or completed registrations.
