TDThe Progressives Governors Forum has passed a vote of confidence on its Chairman, Hope Uzodimma, and Vice Chairman, Uba Sani, amid speculations of a possible leadership change within the forum.
The decision was reached during a meeting of the forum held on Friday evening at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
According to details from the meeting, more than 20 governors attended physically, while other members joined virtually through Zoom.
At the end of the deliberations, members of the forum jointly addressed journalists, dismissing reports suggesting that there were plans to alter the leadership structure of the group.
The governors reaffirmed their confidence in the leadership of Governor Uzodimma and Governor Uba Sani, describing the forum as united and focused.
A video footage of the meeting, obtained by This Dawn shows the governors expressly approving Uzodimma and his deputy, Sani.
The forum also reiterated its commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the governors, the forum remains “intact, united, and stronger” as members continue to work together in support of the administration and the ruling party’s political objectives.
