TDFormer Anambra State Governor and presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, yesterday underwent a rigorous screening exercise organized by his party in Abuja.
The session, which lasted more than two and a half hours, involved a thorough review of his academic records, including degree certificates, NYSC credentials, and age declarations.
Obi disclosed that beyond document verification, he was also questioned extensively about his vision for a new Nigeria and the leadership model he believes the country urgently requires.
Following the exercise, he was officially cleared and presented with the presidential nomination form he had earlier purchased.
Commending the screening committee chaired by former governor Sam Egwu, Obi praised their professionalism and diligence. He also expressed appreciation to the party leadership for upholding democratic principles throughout the process.
Concluding his remarks, Obi reaffirmed his commitment to national renewal, declaring: “A New Nigeria is POssible.”
According to an analyst, “Peter Obi was rigorously and successfully screened, thoroughly vetted, and undoubtedly cleared. ”
