There is a way the say it in Igbo land, that when a child starts slinging muds in a fight, he has either ran out of effective tactics or he is finding a subtle way to beg for a truce.
We are long aware that Obi Aguocha has no tactics at all, that is why Ikwuano/Umuahia is fast taking its place in the dustbin of history.
We are unfortunate to have “elected” (Obi wave actually did) a man who is bereft of the minutest idea of the basic things to do for a Constituency in dire need of effective representation.
We welcome his decision to subtly ask for a truce.
The only truce is for Obi Aguocha to come home so that we can elect a more purposeful and result oriented human to represent us.
It is absurd and clearly disturbing that more than three years of that mistake orchestrated by the Obi wave, the undeserving beneficiary is busy attacking the person of Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji.
Now, I agree without mincing words that not every tall person has sense.
Otherwise, how can a House of Representatives member of three years with zero impact attack a former Speaker whose message of goodwill, purposeful empowerment and result oriented representation obviously dwarf whatever it is that Obi Aguocha has ever done.
We did not know that God will give us the grace to see a day when a House of Representatives member will add “greed” as a criterion for seeking public office.
Then, one wonders what an Obi who is not greedy is doing, seeking to return to an office where his non performance is deafening.
Assuming without conceding that Chinedum is greedy; what do we call the plethora of verifiable achievements as member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency?
What do we call the pattern of ensuring that every constituent felt the warm impact of an active house member/Speaker?
Chinedum’s “greed” offered hundreds of jobs to employable Umuahia Central Constituents, ensured that civil servants were promoted, built markets, provided recreational facilities, attracted the reconstruction of access roads, offered scholarship to our children, saved communities from long years of darkness, attracted the siting of infrastructure facilities across Umuahia, just to mention but a few.
Obi Aguocha is busy blackmailing a man whose impact is overwhelming. We are waiting for Obi’s list of achievements.
However, one thing we assure Aguocha is that for any one achievement he lists as Reps members, we will list ten verifiable achievements by Chinedum Orji. The fact will speak for itself.
We are glad that Obi Aguocha has reiterated what we already know and that is, he is empty and merely bidding his time.
Thus, instead of telling us what he had done with our mandate, he is telling us fairy tale of father, son and family. Is it not proper at this point, that we sympathize with Obi Aguocha? Yes! It is proper.
If we are to talk about family, will it be proper if we ask what his father did as commissioner for health in old Imo state ?
If ikuku abuses Obi Aguocha’s late father tomorrow, he will be seen as an aggressor by those that have refused to advise him to tell us what he has done as our federal house member.
No matter the level of his insult to Ochendo’s family, of which makes no meaning since his own father never attained the height ochendo did, we shall continue to ask him to mention his achievements with our constituency.
