TDPresident Volodymyr Zelenskyy has delivered a sweeping address celebrating Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex, highlighting the country’s rapid advances in drone warfare, missile technology, robotics, and naval security.

His remarks were directed at workers across production halls, laboratories, and design bureaus.

They underscored Ukraine’s determination to build a self-sufficient defense industry capable of reshaping the battlefield and protecting lives.

Zelenskyy Emphasizes Drones and Long-Range Strikes

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine’s defense industry now has the capacity to produce millions of FPV drones annually, a scale unmatched in Europe.

He noted that Ukraine’s drones have already demonstrated historic reach, striking targets 1,750 kilometers from the border.

“This is not about records – it is about justice that will find evil anywhere in the world,” Zelenskyy declared.

He listed several indigenous systems — Flamingo, Ruta, Peklo, Neptune, Palianytsia, and Vilkha — as examples of Ukraine’s growing arsenal of long-range missile weapons.

These are not prototypes, he stressed, but operational forces already deployed.

Robotics on the Front Line

In a groundbreaking development, Zelenskyy revealed that Ukrainian forces recently captured an enemy position exclusively with unmanned platforms.

These are ground robotic systems and drones without infantry involvement and without casualties.

Systems such as Ratel, TerMIT, Ardal, Rys, Zmiy, Protector, and Volia have carried out more than 22,000 missions in just three months.

“These have been saving lives by replacing soldiers in the most dangerous zones.

“This is about high technology protecting the highest value – human life,” Zelenskyy said.

He praised the innovation that allowed robots to take risks instead of human warriors.

Naval Security and Global Lessons

Zelenskyy also highlighted Ukraine’s unique experience in maritime security, particularly in the Black Sea, where Ukrainian forces have conducted operations against enemy fleets, air strikes, and naval mines.

He contrasted Ukraine’s real-world experience with theoretical discussions about maritime chokepoints like the Strait of Hormuz, noting that Ukraine has already executed missions that others only debate.

Ukraine’s naval drones — Sea Baby, Magura, and Sargan — have become well-known globally and are now part of Ukraine’s export offerings.

Zelenskyy Highlights Industrial Strength and Exports

Beyond drones and robotics, Zelenskyy pointed to Ukraine’s artillery production.

He described them as the largest scale in Europe, alongside growing shell manufacturing and increasingly effective armor systems.

These advancements, he argued, strengthen Ukraine’s ability to defend itself.

Meanwhile, it also positions the country as a valuable partner for others seeking modern defense solutions.

A Message to Workers from Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy’s address was also a congratulatory message to the workers of Ukraine’s defense industry.

He thanked engineers, designers, and technicians for their relentless efforts in production and repair.

He stressed that their work is building a modern Ukraine that matters globally.

“A strong Ukraine because it can defend itself. Modern, because it is changing the rules of the game.

“A Ukraine that matters because it can help others, and a Ukraine that is, in many respects, indispensable,” he said.

Strategic Implications

Analysts note that Zelenskyy’s remarks serve multiple purposes:

  • Boosting morale among workers and soldiers by showcasing technological achievements.
  • Sending a message to Russia that Ukraine’s defense industry is not only surviving but thriving.
  • Positioning Ukraine as a future defense exporter, offering drones, artillery, and naval systems to international partners.

The emphasis on self-reliance reflects Ukraine’s determination to reduce dependence on foreign arms supplies and to build a sustainable defense ecosystem.

Zelenskyy’s address paints a picture of a nation transforming adversity into innovation.

From drones striking deep into enemy territory to robots saving lives on the front line, Ukraine’s defense industry is evolving into a formidable force.

The president’s message was clear: Ukraine is not only defending itself but also building technologies that could redefine modern warfare.

And with each innovation, the country moves closer to becoming indispensable in global security discussions.
