Kio Amachree, President of Worldview International in Stockholm, Sweden, has escalated his campaign against alleged financial misconduct tied to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
On May 22, 2026, Amachree formally petitioned INTERPOL Secretary General, Valdecy Urquiza, in Lyon, France, requesting action against Seyi Tinubu.
Copies of the petition were simultaneously dispatched to the UK National Crime Agency (NCA), the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), the UK Foreign Office’s Sanctions Unit, and Sweden’s SAPO.
Focus on Seyi Tinubu’s £9 Million London Mansion
At the heart of the complaint is a luxury property at 32 Grove End Road, St. John’s Wood, London.
The mansion was purchased in 2017 for £9 million through Aranda Overseas Corporation, a British Virgin Islands shell company reportedly controlled by Seyi Tinubu.
The mansion had previously belonged to Kolawole Aluko.
Aluko, a Nigerian businessman, is wanted for a $1.6 billion fraud involving corrupt oil contracts with former Petroleum Minister Dieziani Alison-Madueke.
At the time of acquisition, the Nigerian government was actively pursuing confiscation of the property as proceeds of crime.
Call for Unexplained Wealth Order
Amachree urged UK authorities to invoke an Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO), a legal mechanism compelling individuals to justify the source of funds used to acquire assets.
If Tinubu fails to provide a credible explanation, the property could be seized without a criminal conviction.
Amachree cited precedents such as the case of Isabel dos Santos, whose London assets were frozen under the UK’s Global Anti-Corruption Sanctions Regime.
He also cited Zamira Hajiyeva, whose £24 million properties were confiscated after failing to justify her wealth.
Demand for INTERPOL Red Notice on Seyi Tinubu
The petition also calls for INTERPOL to issue a Red Notice against Seyi Tinubu.
Such a notice would empower law enforcement in member states to detain him upon arrival at international airports, pending extradition proceedings.
Amachree highlighted Angola’s successful use of Red Notices against Isabel dos Santos as a precedent for similar action.
Broader Allegations of UK Property Portfolio
Investigations by Bloomberg and the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) backed the claim.
They have documented evidence showing that the Tinubu family and associates control at least twenty properties in the United Kingdom.
Many of these acquisitions occurred during Bola Tinubu’s tenure as Lagos State governor.
It raises questions about the disparity between official earnings and the scale of the property portfolio.
Statement of Intent and Requested Actions
“I am not writing articles anymore. I am filing,” Amachree declared, underscoring his shift from commentary to formal legal action.
He emphasized the moral outrage of Nigerian citizens struggling with soaring fuel prices, collapsing currency, and underfunded hospitals.
Meanwhile, elites allegedly launder public wealth into luxury assets abroad.
Requested Actions on Seyi Tinubu
The petition outlines specific steps:
- The NCA to apply for a UWO and interim freezing order on Tinubu-linked properties.
- The SFO to investigate the acquisition of 32 Grove End Road as suspected money laundering.
- The UK Foreign Office to consider sanctions under the Global Anti-Corruption Regime.
- INTERPOL to process a Red Notice request.
Amachree insists that international accountability mechanisms have previously been applied to figures close to the Tinubu family.
These include past asset forfeitures in the United States and Switzerland.
He argued that the same legal architecture now applies to Seyi Tinubu.
He urged global institutions to act decisively to uphold anti-corruption commitments.
