TDThe Village Boys Movement (VBM) has unveiled plans for a sweeping nationwide mobilisation campaign in support of His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, under the banner of a “2 Million Man March and ADC Registration Drive.”
In a press statement signed by Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, the Village Headmaster of the movement, the group said the initiative followed a strategic meeting of its National Council and State Contact Persons.
The campaign is designed to rally grassroots support and push the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to adopt Mr. Obi as its presidential candidate through a negotiated consensus.
Village Boys Movement Phased Nationwide March
The Village Boys Movement mobilisation will be executed in phases, beginning on 28 March 2026 across 14 states:
- Abia,
- Adamawa,
- Anambra,
- Bayelsa,
- Ebonyi,
- Plateau,
- Jigawa,
- Kaduna,
- Ondo,
- Ogun,
- Oyo,
- Enugu,
- Kogi, and,
- Edo.
Phase Two will extend to major political battlegrounds including:
- Lagos,
- Abuja,
- Rivers,
- Delta,
- Kano, and,
- Imo.
Dates will be announced later.
VBM explained that the phased approach was deliberately chosen to sustain momentum, optimise coordination, and ensure continuous engagement nationwide.
“This is not a one-day event.
“It is a coordinated movement designed to translate widespread public support into structured political power,” the statement read.

Village Boys Movement Grassroots Activation
The movement emphasised that the march is both a demonstration of democratic demand and a strategic grassroots activation effort.
VDM called on the ADC to grant Obi its presidential ticket.
Beyond that, the initiative aims to drive mass registration of supporters into the party.
Thus, it is building what VBM described as a “formidable and verifiable political structure nationwide.”
The Village Boys Movement declared that the demand for credible leadership in Nigeria is “no longer negotiable”.
It stressed that citizens are mobilised, organised, and determined to take ownership of their democratic future.
Call to ADC Leadership
Presently, political blocs such as the PDP, APC, Labour Party, and the Southern and Middle Belt Forum have echoed calls for a Southern presidency.
At this juncture, VBM urged the ADC to “stand firmly on the side of justice, equity, and national progress.”
The statement called on ADC leaders to act decisively by granting Obi the presidential ticket without delay.
It warned that the era of recycled governance must end.
The Village Boys Movement reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising millions across villages, towns, and cities to ensure what it termed a “decisive political shift” in the 2027 elections.
The group described the march as the beginning of a coordinated national awakening.
“This march marks the beginning of a coordinated national awakening,” Ezeoke concluded.
He underscored the movement’s resolve to channel widespread public enthusiasm into tangible political outcomes.
