Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has won the Anambra State governorship election held on 8 November 2025.
According to data obtained by This Dawn, Professor Soludo received a total of 422,664 votes.
His closest rival, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), scored 99,445 votes.
The margin of victory between APGA and APC is 422,664 − 99,445 = 323,219 votes.
Soludo reportedly swept all the twenty-one Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.
Soludo reacts
Reacting to his election victory, Soludo thanked Anambra electorates.
Taking to his “X”, formerly Twitter handle, @CCSoludo, he wrote:
“Thank you, Ndi Anambra,
“I can never express enough gratitude for your immense support on this jinx-breaking journey.
“Our promise remains firm and unwavering, and our resolve to fulfil it grows even stronger by the day.
“The destination is a liveable and prosperous smart megacity — a homeland we can all be proud to live in, learn, work, relax, and enjoy. On this, we are laser-focused and ready to shift into higher gear over the next four years.
“May Anambra continue to win!”
