TDChief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and ex-chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has formally announced his resignation from the ruling party.
Eze cited what he described as “brazen ineptitude” and “a collapse of democratic values” under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Eze made the disclosure in a statement made available to the press after wide consultations with associates and family.
He said that he has pitched his tent with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), pledging to join “patriots and people of conscience” in propagating the party’s vision for Nigeria.
A Regretful Departure
Eze, who played a prominent role in championing APC during its formative years, expressed regret for persuading Nigerians to embrace the party.
He lamented that APC has “lost direction” and has been reduced to “a congregation of minions and puppets adoring the gross incompetence of President Tinubu.”
He recalled promises made by APC to strengthen the naira, eradicate insecurity, improve education, and ensure food sufficiency.

He, however, argued that the government has instead presided over economic collapse, worsening insecurity, and a failing education system.
“We promised Nigerians uninterrupted power supply, but today the government has succeeded only in giving darkness,” Eze said tearfully.
Condemnation of Tinubu’s Leadership
Eze accused Tinubu of undermining democracy by fostering a one-party system and bringing into APC figures like Godswill Akpabio and Nyesom Wike.
He described them as “sworn enemies of APC from inception.”
He further criticized the administration’s handling of insecurity, citing the resurgence of suicide bombings and the displacement of farmers in the North East and North Central regions.
“This government is killing Nigerians, literally destroying lives. Tinubu has failed in the most sacred duty of protecting citizens,” Eze declared.
Call for National Unity
Expressing deep sorrow over Nigeria’s current state, Eze tendered an apology to Nigerians for the role he played in promoting APC.
He urged citizens to unite and “recapture their country” from what he termed “political bandits and cannibals feasting on the poor souls of helpless citizens.”
He aligned himself with former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who recently described the Tinubu-led government as “abysmally incompetent.”
Eze insisted that hunger and poverty unleashed on Nigerians will make Tinubu’s reelection “unfeasible,” regardless of political defections.
“The best way to show my seriousness is to disengage from this evil set-up and join ADC to restore genuine democracy.
“Nigerians will unite to ensure this government is booted out of power,” Eze concluded.
