THIS DAWN — Nigerian music legend, Innocent Ujah Idibia, globally known as 2Face or 2Baba, has spoken publicly for the first time since a storm of controversy involving him, his wife Annie Idibia, and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru erupted across social media.
In a brief but unsettling message posted to his Instagram Story on Wednesday, the African Queen crooner wrote simply: “Help me.”
The two-word plea immediately ignited fresh concern among fans and colleagues, many of whom have been alarmed by recent reports about the singer’s emotional state.
His message came just hours after his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, publicly expressed worry for the star’s well-being.
In an Instagram post that included lines from one of 2Face’s reflective songs, Hyacinth wrote:
“You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant.
“Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time… Painful reality.
“Allow us save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”
Hyacinth’s remarks added a new layer of urgency to a saga that has dominated public conversations for weeks.
The tension reportedly began in the United Kingdom, where 2Face and Osawaru allegedly engaged in a heated altercation that drew police attention and briefly resulted in the singer’s arrest.

Strange bedmates
Though details remain unclear, the incident triggered widespread speculation about the nature of the relationship between the lawmaker and the music icon.
The matter resurfaced days later during a dramatic Instagram Live session hosted by broadcaster Daddy Freeze.
During the Live session, 2Face and Osawaru were seen exchanging words in real time.
Clips from the livestream have since gone viral, sparking debates and conspiracy theories across the Nigerian digital space.
Despite the mounting rumours, neither 2Face nor Natasha Osawaru has issued a formal explanation of the events.
Their silence has left room for conflicting narratives and heightened public anxiety.
Fans have flooded social media with prayers, urging the singer to seek support and prioritize his mental well-being.
As of press time, the Idibia family has not released an official statement beyond the cryptic posts that continue to fuel nationwide concern.
